We are located in the center of Puglia, among churches, monuments, trulli and castles. It is a land of centuries-old olive groves, crisscrossed by sheep-tracks and "Oil Roads." It is the region with the largest production of extra virgin olive oil in the world. The Galantino Oil Mill is on the outskirts of Bisceglie, a charming town of medieval origin overlooking the Adriatic Sea, an ideal place for olive cultivation but also a coveted tourist destination, entertainment center and important archaeological site.

WHO WE ARE.

The Galantino family's entrepreneurial activity dates back to 1926, when Vito Galantino with great will and skill purchased a 19th-century mill and turned it into an oil mill. Since then three generations have been involved in the milling business, taking it to the highest levels of quality. Today the Galantino Oil Mill sources olives from its own farm and from entrusted producers. The diligent harvesting of the drupes by hand or with modern facilitators at the right degree of ripeness, the careful selection, washing and crushing with stone grinders, gramolatura and cold centrifugation, promote and enhance the taste and fragrance of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The oil, subjected to laboratory control and organoleptic examination, is selected and certified by the Master Oil-Maker.

In 1960 the Galantino family bought the 47-hectare "La Fenice" farm, a green expanse of olive trees with more than 15,000 plants of the Ogliarola and Coratina varieties. Olives are harvested by hand grazing on sheets or with modern facilitators at the right degree of ripeness from October 15 to December 31. The quality of the product is evidenced by the care given to the olive trees, annual pruning to give air and light to the foliage and a modern drip irrigation system. All this allows the Extra Virgin Olive Oil to possess the best organoleptic qualities.

Frantoio Galantino's Garden Restaurant offers tasty light lunches to organized groups of at least 20 people. Typical Apulian dishes, each paired with a different oil. In this way, even lunch becomes a fantastic experience in the world of Galantino oil, complementing the visit to the mill and the tasting of the oils. The location, an elegant white gazebo in the middle of the Galantino family's verdant citrus grove, will make your stay even more enjoyable.
